WHAT IS A HOME INSPECTION?

A home inspection is a professional, objective, visual examination of the physical structure and major interior components of the home and their condition on the day of the inspection.

The purchase of a home is one of the biggest investments of a lifetime and there are always inherent risks involved. You should be as well-informed as possible about the condition of the home prior to purchase.  The information gained from the inspection, may help reduce some of these risks by identifying issues and making followup recommendations.

The regular building inspector does not have the time to complete a detailed inspection, nor is it within the scope of their duties.  The home inspector takes the time to carefully evaluate all of the readily accessible components and can detect defects before they can become problems. The buyer can raise these issues with the builder giving them the opportunity to correct them prior to finalizing the purchase of the home.
